An interesting phenomenon is also the impact of new media on the formation of language. Time spent on Internet users for the average user is constantly increasing. Therefore, in order to attract as many readers as possible, the media reach for the so-called clickbait’s, these are catchy headers designed to attract the attention of the recipient. It is undoubtedly part of today’s digital newspeak, which also propagates and tries to introduce various types of media. New ways of writing articles, advertising products or yourself required taking action to use a simple, colloquial language. Ads try to create new slogans and words, and very often try to imitate the language of “youth” to make it easier to get in touch with them. The results of these activities are not always good, but this process has another important task, because it exploits the language used on the Internet for a group of people who are not so strongly connected with this medium, but for example, TV or advertisement in the paper press strongly affects them.
There is an increase in the number of people who have contact with this type of language. Of course, for the television or press, slogan that are very strong, often vulgar, which take place on the network (due to its complete lack of censorship) will not pass. Of course, these media also teach the language standard by formulating correct language statements.
The media shapes the language, which is why their educational role is invaluable. That’s why this topic of communication on the internet is so important. The language used in the media is transferred to the colloquial language. For now, it’s worth following the language changes that occur before our eyes. You must remember that the language lives and evolves. It results from the improvement of the language and adaptation to changes that occur in the technological, social or cultural zone.
